About Don Cohen's books in Japanese

Kodansha Ltd. has sold 24,799 copies of the Japanese version of Don's "Calculus By and For Young People (ages 7, yes 7 and up)", from Aug. 20, 1998 (first day in bookstores)-Dec. 31, 2003 (5 1/3 years)!! . In an email Don received from Kodansha Ltd. on Feb. 28, 2002:  "We can say that your method was accepted to Japanese people as a kind of new text in which they could learn and understand math much more than ever before".

 A CD-ROM  with Don's worksheet book in Japanese and English was published by Takimoto Hiroshi in 1999.  Don now has his worksheet book on a CD-ROM in English (ISBN 0962167479).

Kodansha Ltd. also published Don's book "Changing Shapes With Matrices", co-authored and translated by Ms. Noriko Arai. It was in bookstores in Japan on April 20, 2001 and sold 7,181 copies in the 1 year, 8 months!
